Background

Clement holds a Juris Doctor of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Cinema Studies and English Literature, both from the University of Melbourne. He joined the firm in 2014 after studying entertainment and copyright law on exchange at the University of California, Los Angeles.

He has provided legal services on numerous feature films, including Oddball, Holding the Man, Red Dog: True Blue, Jungle, Cargo, and the Academy Award-nominated Lion. Recent films include Winchester, Ladies in Black, The Nightingale,  Blumhouse’s Upgrade and Netflix’s I Am Mother.

His television credits include Cleverman, Squinters, and FX Network’s Mr Inbetween.

His experience extends to work on several documentaries, including Putuparri and the Rainmakers, Highly Strung, The Family, Martha: A Picture Story, Iron Fists and Kung-Fu Kicks, and Ghosthunter, the winner of the 2018 Documentary Australia Foundation Award for Best Australian Documentary, and on which he acted as associate producer.

He also provides executive producer services, with credits including Rabbit, Escape and Evasion, Measure for Measure, 2067, and Never Too Late.

Clement currently serves as company secretary on the board of directors for the Australian International Documentary Conference. In his spare time he is writing a science fiction novel for young adults.
